Jamie's world had broken and reshaped itself, all in the space of an evening. He'd gone from lining up a date with Phantasos, to agreeing to give a relationship with three other men (OK, two men and one dream spirit) a try. It was all still really new to him, but he knew he would have to tell his dad at some point. He valued honestly above almost everything else, and he hated secrets being kept from him. That, and if the three of them were going to come over all at once with any sort of regularity, a heads-up was probably required.

He padded downstairs and into the kitchen, and found his dad sitting at the table. "Hey dad," he said, sitting down across from him. "How's things?"

	Thomas, who was dutifully studying for finals already, shot his head up at the sound of his son's voice. "Uhhhh?! Oh hey! It's you! Fellow human and my progeny! 	"Have you?" Thomas asked, trying not to sound too much like he was going to pry, even though if Jamie didn't tell him, he was sure as hell going to ask. "You know me," Jamie said, tapping his skull with a finger. "Never stop thinking, really. But yeah, food might be good."

He sat back in his chair, playing with one of the strings on his hoodie. "So I had a dream the other night," he began. "And I asked Phantasos if he'd sent it to me, because, well...he was in it, but he hadn't, and long story short, we said we were going to go out sometime."

He shifted from the string to picking at his cuticles. "And the other night, we went over to Jayden's, and he, apparently has a hobgoblin in his house-yeah, I know-that put a truth spell on him. And he said he'd thought about all four of us being together. Which...was a little surprising, I'm not gonna lie. But we all sat around for a while and talked about it, and then we fell asleep in a cuddle pile on beanbag chairs."

Thomas had been in the middle of slicing a bagel for Jamie when the story came tumbling out, and he stood there, knife aloft, watching Jamie's face.

"Wh- uhm... O-okay first things first here," and then he grinned widely, "Phantasos is great and please never ever tell me about that dream. I'm proud of you, Kiddo. Moving on is hard, but you're doing it. In...rather spectacular style."

	Jamie snorted. "Yeah, don't worry, I hadn't planned on it," he promised. "But yeah, you're not wrong. But I figured...I'm finally not completely swallowed up by feeling sad anymore. 	Jamie feeling safe and happy was more than enough to trip off Hug Monster Thomas. He moved forward and wrapped his son in an embrace, only pulling back to ruffle Jamie's hair. "I love you, kid.
