Who: Iphigenia and Orestes
What: A long-awaited reunion
When: Thursday afternoon
Where: Famine's restaurant

So far Orestes hadn't been nervous about any of his recent reunions. Hermione had been more of an overwhelming whirlwind of emotions because he wasn't sure how she would take their being reunited. With her he had been more eager to reacquaint himself than nervous. It had gone exceptionally well and he only hoped she would soon agree to stay with him. With Pylades and Electra he could very easily fall back into old times and enjoy their company just as they did in their youth.

With Iphigenia it was different. He was incredibly nervous about seeing his eldest sister again. Electra had told him she was grown. He had a hard time imagining her older. He could only remember a small teenage girl to whom he had clung for dear life. Someone who was once bigger than him. Someone who had protected him when he had been too small to do it himself.

Now with her grown he wasn't so sure he would even recognize her. He had a very permanent impression in his minds eye, so seeing her grown would likely be rather difficult on his brain (he could be very stubborn at the best of times). If ever he wanted to retreat back into his once-tiny, four-year-old self, it was now. Those days were a blur except for the very vivid memory of crying for his sisters life as he clung to her. Even at such a tender age he had known. He had known that would be the last time he ever saw his sister.

He swallowed nervously as he stood outside the diner Iphigenia worked at. As soon as he heard about her presence in the city he had gone out to buy her a gift. He never had the chance to give her anything nice. She hadn't been married, all birthdays were ended. Right along with any chance he had to show his sister that he loved her.

With a deep, wavering breath he pushed opened the door and looked around. He wasn't sure which of the woman present was his sister, although he could feel her presence. His eyes darted from face to face, trying to surmise which one she could be. In his mind she would certainly be the prettiest there, but that didn't help at all because he was trying very hard not to put his teenage sisters face on any of their bodies. He didn't know her role in this diner, so he wasn't sure where he should be looking. It struck him he must look incredibly awkward just standing there.
