"I have no doubt," Lachlan nodded. "And I bet there wasn't anything later either. You always did your best though," Lachlan sighed. "I remember you hardly letting Uncle Stephen have a say at all in the early days at his house."
Their uncle was honestly a miracle and Lachlan loved him more than he could say. Or he did now. When Stephen had first brought them over to the US, none of them had trusted him, for obvious reasons. "And we always asked you for permission for things instead of him."
