"I don't remember being this impatient in the old days. It must be because they can actually see the baby now before it's born." When Pleione thought about it, they had been sitting out there for no more than twenty minutes. It was more or less the excitement of getting to see their baby and making sure he or she was alright. She knew the baby was just fine, but it was still comforting to have that reassurance.
It wasn't long before Pleione was lying on the not-so-comfortable table. The doctor who was scheduled to do the procedure came in and introduced herself before going about the motions. Soon their baby could be seen on a other monitor a few feet away from the table. There was something very surreal about seeing their baby while still inside of her. It was mesmerizing seeing all of the tiny organs and fingers and toes as the doctor pointed them out.
