In the passenger seat, Libera had let the movement of the car lull her to sleep. Although she remembered waking up slightly at one point to hear the radio softly playing Somewhere Beyond the Sea, it was only when they stopped that she woke properly, blinking and looking around herself.
Outside the car she stretched her arms above her head and looked back in the direction of the sun. "Or maybe it's more like Sol Invictus at our back," she told Honos, "lighting our way." He was the patron of soldiers so maybe wherever he was he was looking out for Honos in his way.
She moved to press herself against Honos from behind, slipping her hands around his waist and clasping them together as she rested her cheek against his back.
