Helen couldn't blame her for being protective. She knew enough to know that they only had each other and in this world that was something worth fight for. Helen didn't know if Arianna knew who her father really was, so she was careful to skirt around that information. She shook her head, "You're right. Your daddy and I were friends many, many years ago and we only recently met up, I just moved back here a few months ago myself. And I heard you're new to the city, too. How do you like it so far?" Helen didn't talk to her like most people spoke to children. Arianna may not be an adult, but children were very perceptive.
