Calliope frowned at the whole situation, "She threw her life away. She shouldn't be taking it out on you no matter how miserable and pathetic her life is now. Her time will come." But she knew they were all in agreement about that. She sighed and shook her head. No matter mortal or god, people tended to react the same when things took a turn for the worst. "We'll help you get through this, Terps," she said with a reassuring smile.
Calliope and Mel returned Clio's hug in turn, Calliope kissing her sister on the cheek and thanking her for being there when she was running late.
Only when Clio offered David a cupcake did Calliope notice them. She took one as well, because her stomach had been growling since that afternoon and she hadn't eaten anything since lunch. She needed something on her stomach. "These look great, Clio. Thank you." She nibbled away. Mel passed on the cupcakes for now, not feeling hungry at all.
Mel finally acknowledged David, though she hadn't meant to ignore him to begin with. She was just so worried about Terps. She smiled at the jokes between her and her mortal. She walked over to David and took his free hand. "Thank you for helping our sister. We mean the world to each other. Whatever title she gives you, it's not bragging to accept it." She kissed his cheek before letting go of his hand and finding an empty seat.
Calliope looked around at everyone as a whole, "Does anyone want coffee? Or anything else? I can make a run to the cafeteria," she offered.
