Who: Nike/Medusa, then Poseidon (open to Kratos and Zelos) When: May 26, late evening Where: Poseidon's office What: Nike is pissed Warnings: Violence, language, basic Greek stuff
Even though Nike was absolutely certain Medusa didn't have anything to do with Theseus' disappearance, she still needed to cover her bases. Medusa was the type who hunted and struck, leaving her victims to their own demise. She wasn't the type to kidnap and hide away live prey. No, when she wanted someone dead she attacked swiftly and quietly. Medusa didn't leave her victims alive. While she may no longer be able to turn people to stone, she still had a vicious bite. But no one besides Medusa knew that.
Medusa had been well aware of Nike's presence for about half an hour, and Nike was fairly certain she had already been found out. In the last fifteen minutes of tailing Medusa, she thought fuck it and got close enough to the other woman so that there would be absolutely no doubt she could be felt out. Medusa ducked into a dark and lonely little shop a few doors down, Nike hot on her trail.
She was there somewhere, but it was Medusa who surprised Nike when she turned a corner at the back of the shop. The clerk was at the front helping the only customer in the place.
Medusa's hand pressed firmly against Nike's neck as she pinned her against the wall. "Why are you following me?" she hissed.
Nike didn't so much as look up, and Medusa actually smiled with pleasure when she saw that even the goddess of Victory was too scared to find out if she could still turn people to stone. "Just making sure you're innocent," she said gruffly, seeing as her air supply was being swiftly depleted.
"Innocent? I've done nothing but mind my own damn business."
"Yeah, I know. I just needed to be sure." Because Nike didn't need to run off to Poseidon's office only for him to try and persuade her to go to Medusa, or someone else. Medusa was the safe bet right now.
Medusa's eyes narrowed as she thought momentarily whether to squeeze the life out of Nike, her fingers tightening for only but a moment before releasing.
Nike could breathe again and she rubbed her neck. "Look, I apologize for tailing you. But I had to make sure. Poseidon had Theseus following you-"
"Yes, I know," Medusa interrupted. She was still rather annoyed by that.
"-- Well, Theseus has disappeared and I needed to make sure it wasn't you before I go to Poseidon."
Medusa rolled her eyes, feeling bored with all of this. "Covering your ass so the big, bad sea monster doesn't trick you, I'm sure. Well, it obviously wasn't me. I have better things to do with my time than kidnap someone for following me." However, had he continued to meddle...
Nike nodded, "Okay.... Erm.. Thanks." She felt weird saying that to Medusa, but she felt it was necessary. "See ya... ." Even though she had no intentions of ever seeing Medusa ever again.
Nike contacted her siblings one more time as she headed out the door.
Medusa stayed put until she could no longer feel the other woman, and then disappeared into the ocean of bodies. And minding her own damn business.

Nike knew it. She had known it couldn't have been Medusa. She hated covering her bases. She had wanted to go straight to Poseidon, guns ablaze and kick some ass. It was already getting late, but she had seen Poseidon bitch enough on social media about being at his office at this time of night that she felt confident he would be there.
She hurried along the sidewalk, swerving here and there to avoid colliding with anyone. Just to be safe, she had brought both of her guns. Both were concealed so she didn't look suspicious. She had contemplated bringing her sword, but tailing Medusa with a visible weapon when she knew the other woman was innocent would have turned out badly. She wondered if she had time to swing by her place and grab it, but decided against it. No, guns were powerful these days. She could strike without too much force and drop her prey in the blink of an eye.
Time was of the essence and Nike felt too much had already been wasted. She wondered how Zoe was doing. She hadn't heard from her or Bia, which told her they were alright. If anything fishy had happened Bia wouldn't hesitate to contact her, Nike knew this. The Enforcers had always had each others backs. Maybe the boys hadn't said anything yet, but they were probably just being loyal to Zeus' silence. Nike wasn't going to wait around for everyone to say something. She needed to find Theseus now. As a cop, she knew how precious those first few days were when looking for a missing person.
While Nike was most often the one who said to wait and assess the situation, look for your enemies weaknesses, not to jump in right away, right now she wanted to throw all of those out the window. She needed to find Theseus. She had to save him.
The building was still lit up and bright, and Nike made some excuse about being whatever girl Poseidon had asked for that evening. (What? That's honestly what she thinks he does this late at night in the office!) She had little trouble getting up to his office.
When she opened the door to find him standing at his window, back to her, she wasted no time. She drew one of her guns and fired two bullets. Each of his knees were hit, blowing out his kneecaps on impact, and Nike just stared stony-faced as he dropped to the floor. She hurried over and kicked whatever could be used as a weapon or contact away from his reach.
She had only been there ten seconds and already the place was a wreck and blood splattered all over the floor and windows.
"Where the hell is Theseus, you son of a bitch?" Her gun was pointed directly at his face as she drew the other one, just to be safe, silencer attached to both guns so this could be a more private matter.
