The moment her body hit the water, Wrath awakened a little more, her eyes widening. She gasped, but let her back hit the porcelain of the tub so her muscles could relax.
It was good.
Silence held the room for a few minutes, nothing but the woosh of the water between them, until Wrath finally spoke. "He was here, George," she whispered. "He was here for days and now he's gone again." George didn't know about October's father, and that Wrath had been pretty fiercely in love with him. He knew about the ghosts though.
