"Tea. Tea sounds like the best idea," Charles said with a nod.
The drive home was uneventful and Charles parked the car before helping Piper out of it. They walked into the house together and Charles made a beeline for the kitchen so he could flick the kettle on.
"Hungry?" he asked Piper, even though he wasn't really. He needed to take care of his Piper.
