In unison, Jamie and Roxanna's heads turned to look at her. "Wait, what?" Roxanna asked.

"I should explain," Azrael interjected. "I intervened when one of Hermes' granddaughters was being mugged, and he, thinking he was being generous, sent me...a wife. Which, I must admit, caught me off guard."

Roxanna banged her forehead against the wall. "Oh gods, he's such an idiot."

Azrael simply raised an eyebrow.

"He's my father. I can say that. Especially since it's true."
