Jesse didn't sing around many people, even those he was close to. He knew he had a tendency to be off-key at times, and his voice could be raspy (he blamed that on the smoking and drinking). But once in a while, he felt alright singing along to whatever happened to be playing. And he knew Jay wouldn't judge him.
"Everything looks different now, all this time my head was down. He came along and showed me how to let go." Jesse drummed his fingers on his thigh in time to the rhythm. "I can't remember where I'm from, all I know is who I've become. That our love has just begun, like ohhh."
It struck him then, how much this song could be applied to his life, and he felt the hairs on his arm stand on end. He could really see how people could fall so in love with music.
