WHO: Zoe & Greed
WHEN: August 1 [Backdated]
WHERE: Greed's work, Zoe's apartment
WHAT: Hellhound pays a visit
WARNING: None
Note: The log reads backwards
She whined when he tugged on the covers, "Then it must be the hell hound.." she said, still sleepy, "Cause only he was this interested in me." and she opened her eyes just a crack to look at him before closing them again and burying her face in the pillow. Stupid not even boyfriend.

She scrunched up her face when he blew on it, the big weirdo and just mumbled and squirmed when he snuggled in next to her. When he licked her face tho, she waved her hand at him, "Sammy stop it.." she said with her eyes still closed. It was like 1 in the morning or something..

When she didnt do anything but moan, Greed snuggled in beside her, blowing on her face. When that didn't work he went to licking her face.

She was really sleeping, it had been a long day and getting attacked by giant dogs didn't help. She murmured and squirmed at his poke but her eyes stay closed. He expected her to paw at him, to pull his attention away from his work. She didn't drag him off the computer, or try to sex him. He was surprised that he was able to get everything complete in two hours.
He closed his laptop, moving it and then poking her on the arm softly. Was she really asleep or was she pretending?

She leaned in and kissed his temple and then climbed over him to her side of the bed, moving under the cover and just laying there with her eyes closed. She didn't bug him or ask him for anything, she was just a Zoe lump next to him and he could do his work. She was exhausted.

She sighed and stood up to go put the kit back, "I'm not your sister." she had meant it more in she wasn't one of his siblings but it held more meaning than that. Since he was back (tho this was a problem previously as well) his default was how to react to Lust. And she wasn't her. She was Zoe.

And when I showed up today that was selfish. It was because I wanted to see you. Because I was scared. And normally you make me feel safe. I wasn't trying to stop you from working or demand you pay attention to me. I just wanted to be where you were to feel better." his presence alone was enough to calm her down some usually, he didn't need to baby her all the time, especially not if he was busy. She had just wanted him to humor her.

At least he was distracting her from her fear. She waved her arms to get his hands off her as he moved them back towards his office, "I don't want to have Chinese with you, you're working." okay so maybe she was a bit butthurt he hadn't even kissed her or anything, just acted like she was an annoying fly.

Greed put his hands on her arms to try and steer her back towards his office. "You're not going home, you're going to have Chinese with me." He wasn't ready to leave work yet, but he wasn't willing to let her go now that she was here. He just had to process what exactly scared the fuck out of her to drop by. Something...was definitely off, but he wasn't as scared about it as she was.

She kept walking and said, "I will see you LATER." hitting the button for the elevator repeatedly, not noticing that it was coming UP from the lobby.

He turned back to her just to see her walk out. He looked back to the window quickly to see that shadow also vanish. "Zoe!" he took off down the hall, catching up to her. He didn't know any better than her what was going on, but he wasn't going to let her walk back out there alone. Maybe then he'd pick up on what was really going on.

"Apparently I did." feeling annoyed and humiliated, "No, I'm going to take the bus home which is what I should have done in the first place and I will see you later." well in a way it worked coming here, now she had enough of a fire to swallow her fear a bit. And while he checked the window, she walked right out of his office.

Now he was the enemy? "You came all the way here just so you could go home?" She was being ridiculous. "Sit down, I'll have the Chinese delivered and we'll go home together." She still looked as if her skin was going to shake right off. He looked out the window for a moment, seeing a shadow hovering around the building. Maybe she wasn't going crazy. Maybe there was something out there.

She was surprised he was gonna let her take the money out herself and looked annoyed when he snatched the wallet away. She let out a frustrated noise, "I don't know! I've just felt it all day long like someone is watching me but no one is there when I look and I can't shake the feeling and I'm scared and you're being an ASS and I want to go home." she held her open palm out still but then threw it down, she should just go wait for the bus. From the lobby.

He started to reach for his wallet, but as soon as he put his paperwork down and almost had it in her hand he snatched the wallet back. "No," he said in a curious tone. At least now he'd gotten her to open up. "Whatyou---mean? Like a ghost or something?" Shit was she being haunted?

She didn't look at him and said with a bit of snap to her tone, "I came all the way to see you." but he just seemed irritated she did, "Sammy should be at home.." she shook her head, now more annoyed than scared, "Nothing, I've been having a weird day, it just feels... off. Like.. someone's watching me." she didn't want him to tease her or roll his eyes so said, "Thanks to you, I'm now not spooked as much as I am ticked off, lend me money for a cab and I'll pay you back when you come over." because she was not staying there with him just barking at her.

He scratched the side of his head, more confused than anything. He put he pen he had in hand alongside his ear, where it sat perched until he'd need it again. "You came all the way here to charge your phone?" What was she not getting at. "What the hell has you so spooked?" The last time she was so panicked was when she lost Sammy. "Is Sammy at home?" He felt his heart race a bit. She was hiding something...

She frowned, kinda stung by how annoyed he seemed with her there. She'd leave but.. she was honestly too scared, "I didn't forget.." she kept holding her arms and moved when he did, staying two steps behind him, "I won't bother you.. I just want to charge my phone... can't I sit in the corner or something?" he was planning on going to her place tonight with chinese, would it be inconvienent if she just happened to tag along?

He looked at her waiting for more but nothing else came out of her mouth. He stood a little longer. "I said at lunch I'd pick up Chinese for dinner..." He'd known he had a lot more he wanted to finish up so he didn't get slammed for weekend hours. Those weekends were precious. "Did you forget?" It still didn't really get to the bottom of why she looked like she'd jumped out of her skin. He stepped into the hall again, the sound of his boots against the floor the only sound echoed across the empty hall. He walked down a little further, throwing his arms out when he still didn't see anything.

She didn't respond for a moment, she didn't know what to say. There was technically nothing wrong. Finally she said, "Nothing.. I.. was working late and..." she rubbed her lips together, "I left late and forgot to charge my phone and..." she thought of the dark streets and started to rub her arms as if she were cold, "I missed the bus... " it didn't explain how she wound up there really but it was all that was coming out of her mouth at the moment.

Greed was supposed to have dinner with Zoe until he got an overload of work for a new client he was all too happy to get started so he had a clean weekend. He was alone in the big building with the lights on pacing back and forth in his office until he found Zoe looking frazzled. "What's wrong?" he expected her to say the apartment flooded or something, but Sammy wasn't with her. She'd looked like she'd seen a ghost. He looked behind her to see nothing but shadows and an empty hallway.

Zoe had had an uneasy feeling all day, even during lunch when she went to the corner to get sandwiches for her and her father, like... someone was watching her. She didn't say anything to Theseus about it at work, she didn't mention it to Greed when she exchanged texts with him.. but when she finished organizing some stuff in the mail room, it was later than she realized. Nearly everyone was gone. She quickly left the dark building and got outside where the streetlights were but even then.. she could feel eyes on her. She looked around and chided herself cause there was no one there.. but.. she started walking towards the bus stop and decided to call Greed but she hadn't charged her phone so it was dead and that just filled her with more dread. She showed up right when the bus was pulling away and her skin was covered in goosebumps as she could hear someone.. something.. and her footsteps quickened. It was a few blocks to Greed's building by the time she realized how fast she was moving and where she was. So while Greed was working late in his office, he'd get a surprise visit with a knock on his open door showing his not-girlfriend looking very nervous.
