Temperance laid her head back against the seat, turning sideways so she could see him. She reached for his hand, her fingernails an awful muddy color. "Can you put the window down?" she asked weakly. She needed a little fresh air. She'd spent so long a prisoner in Envy's abandoned torture tower and then buried in the bottom of a lake. She needed to feel real air on her face again.
