Jayden felt so exhausted he was drifting off a little by the time Lena burst into the room like an explosion of colour. "Oh my god, Jaydenface," she said, horrified. She gave Jesse a sad look and then glanced at Adrian and Isaiah. "Uh...hi. I'm Lena. Friend of these two. What happened?"

"My dad," Jayden whimpered. "My dad found me, but he's dead and Nicky and Jesse said it wasn't him and maybe you'd know." He was clearly struggling with consciousness.

"Shit," Lena hissed and she glanced at Jesse. "Yeah, I- I know. Might be the same thing that did it to Jamie and my sister-in-law. It changes faces and reads minds-"

"What?!" Adrian interrupted because he was honestly beginning to believe this was all some kind of whacked out dream he was having.
