Temperance ([info]middle_path) wrote in [info]nevermore_logs,
Temperance went out of her head for a minute, it was the only way to distract her body from the pain. Her eyes lulled closed as she said some silent prayers. She was meditating while Envy used her body as a canvas. Deep down in his core, Temperance knew what he was trying to do. He wasn't just trying to physically break her, he was trying to see if he could seep into her. As a Virtue she held some wave of protection, but Envy was not her opposite. She had been greatly compromised already when he'd damaged her male counterpart. Envy had used that little mortal girl Jonah had liked as a means to dig into him. And it had worked, but now as Madison she was a lot tougher.

Even so...she was still in a human body. There was a lot of damage he could do, and any crack of weakness, Envy prayed upon it. He was a lion with ferocious claws and teeth and he was gnawing away at her from the inside out. She didn't like the way he made her skin pimple in fear.

Yes, Temperance was afraid.

When Sloth knocked over the camera, Temperance's eyes flashed open, thankful for a moment that Envy's attentions could direct themselves to someone else.
