"You're blue..." he yanked her down putting the extra hoodie on her as if she were just a doll to be dressed. She needed to not freeze to death. _________________________________________________ "You aren't listening!" she said like she was yelling at a brick wall, tears in her eyes because she FELT like a doll. She struggled against him as he got the hoodie on her, it was nice and warm tho.. but she still shoved at him cause she didn't want to be near him. _________________________________________________ "I bring you a fucking sweater and you fight me." Damn it all. He was just a screw up all the way around. They might have the titles back but they were still learning a hard lesson with him being back from the dead. A lot had back peddled him, it was taking a lot longer for things to stick. When he tried he just felt even more angry when she rejected him. He hadn't learned yet how to deal with this as he had before. _________________________________________________ She couldn't believe he was being like this and she stopped fighting but only to burst into tears because it didn't feel like there was anything else to do. _________________________________________________ "I'm trying to keep you from being eaten by the cold!" Damn her. She turned on the waterworks and it just messed him all up more. Greed was kind of running on training wheels again. He didn't have the same reverie as he did with her before. He was having to learn all over again what it mean to be in this relationship. The difference this time was it was Greed's turn not just the human boy. The human side had mastered it, Greed was flimsy. _________________________________________________ Zoe didn't care about the cold and all she could do was cry, pulling her knees to her chest and hiding her face in them as her body shook and she sniffled, getting snot on the hoodie. _________________________________________________ "What do you want me to do?" he was desperate, he was always desperate when she was a broken mess. When it was one of his own it was a hell of a lot harder to clean up. This Greed was still learning to navigate so he was a little lost. _________________________________________________ "Just leave me alone..." she said in a pathetic voice and refused to look at him, hugging herself like she was protecting herself as she kept crying. She didn't want to fix his mess right now even if deep down she knew there was no other way around it. _________________________________________________ He petted and fiddled with her hoodie, her hair, preening her because he thought it might help. But she only cried harder. "Talk?" He asked in a hushed voice. This Greed was more terrified of losing her more than ever. This Greed walked on a thin line constantly, waiting for it to snap again. _________________________________________________ She smacked away his hand and looked at him with her tear stained face, "Why? You said that a few minutes ago but did you listen to a word I said? Why should I talk if you won't listen?" _________________________________________________ He was a speedball when it came to brain functionality. Sometimes it took a lot of effort for Greed to just slow down. He was on a higher level since he'd returned, and now all the holes in their relationship had not only been thinned out even more, but he was slow on filling them. "I'm trying?" he was still getting used to this again.
