WHO: Zoe & Greed WHEN: Tuesday night WHERE: Toy store WHAT: Greed dumps Zoe WARNING: Saddest breakup yet Note: The log reads backwards
To hear that made him dead inside. The corner of his lip quirked. It couldn't smile, frown or shout out at her. She'd just called everything they'd been through fake. Just another con for him to forget about? It made that wretched thing inside called a heart pump in a million different directions. He was going to be sick or have a heart attack again he was sure. Usually that only came when she thwarted him with love, but it was as if she'd just drug it right out of him. Now there was nothing left but fumes to kill him with. He rubbed at his chest where his heart was, using his other arm to hold him up on the shelf.

But it was more because there was such an empty hole inside her and it left her numb, it was the only way she could function. She literally felt dead inside. She shook her head, "I don't think I ever had a real boyfriend.. I had a really nice dream and just finally woke up."

Maybe it was better he was in this body now. She could have a part of him in Chance without being destroyed. He dropped his hand from his face, that bright red stain from her hand printed for the world to see. And she might not even have been able to tell how much that made him coil inside out. He wanted to strike because this should be her fault! He took a deep breath ready to shove that in her face but instead he just looked off to the toys in the aisle that he'd shuffled, shuffling them back.
"You should go home then. Spend time with your real boyfriend," and he felt choked trying to say those words, but maybe he was putting his efforts into the wrong side.

You'll always be first. It will always be about your happiness... and when you're unhappy, I'm this dead weight that's shackled to you. And I'm not a doormat. I'm not a toy. I'm not a toaster. I can't be okay with you running off on sex trips because you feel suffocated. You shouldn't be in a relationship then. And if I make you feel less like who you are... then you shouldn't be with me." she let out a shaky breath.

He felt like he was drowning now on top of the fact that his face could be peeling off onto the floor. He had thrown her through this before. When she was with Mike, Lust, the con, he'd fucked up a number of times but this took center stage. This was unforgivable for her. It wasn't just about trust now, or the fact that he could hurt her. Him putting blame on her just summed up the fact that he was always going to be the problem--never the solution.
He still had no idea what to say as he held his hands against his cheek. He could practically hear his jaw grinding---or he was just overreacting as usual. The physical pain she packed in that slap finally let the release of her emotions. He knew exactly what she was feeling now and it was rage, hurt and there was no fixing this now was there?

The grass will always be greener to you on the other side. When you're with me, you'll want freedom and when you're without me, you'll want me back. Or if not want me back, just want to make sure I'm unhappy. Have I summed this up correctly?" it was breaking her heart to say because what she was actually saying was they were not going to ever make it as a couple. They couldn't.

He'd gone to the other side because the grass was greener, but now that he was there it was kind of dying and turning yellow. He opened his mouth to reply but he was certain she'd knocked part of his jaw onto the floor. It must have been easy for her to slap that face then if he'd had his blonde, blue-eyed baby face. She put the blame right back in his face and it stopped him in his tracks.

You would have made faces and hemmed and hawed and pouted and wanted your freedom more. You would have blamed me for not letting you be happy, not letting you be yourself." she knew him too well to know there was no winning with him. She chose the path where she would get less beat up.

On Wed, Jul 23, 2014 at 11:06 PM, Lucky L. <neverluckymore@gmail.com> wrote: She was getting angry now, bottling everything inside was taking a toll and she wanted to strangle him for continually messing up things at her job. He was whining that he was broken? He wanted her to what? Fix it? She felt like telling him to jump off a bridge and maybe that way he could just be reborn in a week with a fresh slate. But when he did what he did best, and turned this whole mess of what HE wanted on HER, she lost it. She slapped him across the face as hard as she could, she'd hit him before, but this was a slap that could be heard throughout the store. She had had enough.

He wanted to keep her there not watch her walk away again. "It's empty now." Sex with Lust. Sex with other's. Nothing seemed to work anymore. "I think I"m....I think I'm broken now." He got it finally. He felt the stab of what he'd done. He hadn't even realized it before, the severity of what he'd let her do. "I hate you for giving me freedom."

She stopped and fixed the toys back into their neat arrangement but still wouldn't look at him, "Nothing does for you." she said in a flat voice, an obvious stab. He had her, didn't want her, and now was here again. It hurt to know he'd never be satisfied with anything, most of all her.

It was what he felt, but he made a jab to see if it stuck on her too. He started messing up the straightened toys down the aisle so it would give her a reason to turn around. Recovery was part of her job wasn't it?

He wanted to know, it made him jealous but at the same time he wanted to make sure his beefcake body wasn't being a dick and ignoring her. Yeah he was jealous if that dick was in her per his deal, it wasn't him, but it was still him. He also in some odd way just wanted someone to talk to.

His bottom lip couldn't even extend as far as his last. There were a lot of faces that he tried that just looked unnatural with this near perfect specimen.

He knew she'd been spending her time with Chance still---and wondered if she considered them just friends with benefits or an actual item? Had the dumbass actually shown interest? Was she as miserable as he was? He couldn't tell, she just looked pissed to see him. "Thought you'd catch on to my note." His note being the train of zombie kitty stickers. "Maroon's a good color on you."

She was dressed in a maroon dress with frills as short sleeves when her boss called her over and said some jackass had been slapping these weird zombie hello kitty stickers around the store. Zoe sighed as she was put in charge of removing them all. God, her life sucked.. she started scraping at one and would move down an aisle and spot another one, 30 minutes into this, she had quite the collection until she spotted the next one and saw Greed, the look on her face was not of someone who was happy to see him.

Zoe had nailed him to the wall in the most uncomfortable ways. It was being crucified over and over again with only Lust as his comfort. When that didn't seem to help he'd tapped into outside sources to try and test his theory that he was just out of the loop for so long. He'd had plenty of time to get over this, but all he did was feel sick inside.
He didn't have work to really keep him busy. Andras' body was an FBI agent, and the problem there was it wasn't Greed's job that he had earned himself. His feeling on top of the mountain was slowly making it's climb downward. He didn't like being dominated by Lust anymore, it made the idea of a challenge disappear. He found more and more excuses to explore elsewhere but never being as "happy" as Zoe had left him to be. He couldn't understand it, so he finally said fuck her stupid 'people don't contact each other after breaking up' bullshit. He went to track her down because he couldn't get rid of this feeling. She needed to know for some reason.
He walked into the toy store after it started to get dark outside. The store was surprisingly busy for a late night. He didn't look like the kind of guy to be walking into toy stores without a kid of his own. He was too well dressed, too fancy and perfect. Greed should have been shelling out money at a high class restaurant, not slapping Hello Kitty stickers in very obvious places Zoe would find. He hoped she followed the trail which would lead to him.
