Who: Robin Hood and Daphne
What: Just a hunter out in the woods causing some trouble...
When: Monday
Where: Catskills

One thing Robin could never cut out of his life was the bow. It was a strong symbol of who he was. Even without his Merry Men, even without Marion Robin could always count on himself and his perfect shot. In truth he hadn't picked up his bow in what seemed like years, even though it had only been a few months.

He decided it was time to go where he felt the most comfortable, which was ruffing it out in the forrest. The city was great for pick-pocketing, fancy businessmen and their wallets, but Robin missed the fresh air. He could splurge on a high-techy bow, but Robin was a bit old fashioned. He was on the prowl for that nine-point buck he'd seen a few hours ago. He'd been tracking it so he could see if he still had that golden touch. If he missed then he was just letting life seep in a bit too much, missing a little too much of the way things used to be.

Daphne's job was pretty easy. Make sure no one got sun stroke, keep them on the tracks, check permits, and keep everyone as away from the wolves as possible. With their greater numbers, it was harder, but at least she'd had some agreement with one of the immortal ones.

Plus she got to be outside almost every day. It was a benefit. She'd also spotted the hunter a few hours ago and with the season not started she'd sighed and started after it. When she came close she made a point to make a lot of noise, and to come behind him. No need for an arrow in her.

He was immortal, like her, but she still crossed her arms and cleared her throat. "Season's not started. Plus I'm going to need your permit."

He'd almost had his mark but the talking distracted him. Robin lowered his bow with frustrated sigh, watching the deer scatter off into the distance. "I almost had him!" He looked at who was speaking to him, a ranger with a pretty little face. No wonder she sounded so serious. "Hunting season is a bunch of bollox." He wanted to shoot what he wanted when he damn well pleased. He'd been shooting long before it had to be a licensed gig.

"I don't care what it is, if you're in my park you follow it." she looked him up and down before approaching. Her own bow was on her back, in case she needed it, and she could tell he was good with his. Regardless, she would do her job. "Identification please. If you're hunting without a permit, and if off season, it's a fine. Deer don't grow on trees."

"You know there was a time this was highly unnecessary." It was still considered poaching and he got lit for it before, but Robin was never going to make this easy. Authority and he just didn't mix well. But, she was cute so he was willing to produce the goods.

He pulled out his permit from the back pocket where it was folded up in his wallet. It was worn, a little rubbed down the crease, but it was his. The name was fake (as was for any immortal stomping around this world), but it was official. "Does that satisfy the lady?" he asked as he handed it to her for inspection.

She took the permit and raised an eyebrow to his comment. "Maybe, once. things change." She checked it over before offering it back to him. "It checks out but it's still out of season." She sighed and looked around. "And there's a good reason you can't besides legality."

She raised her finger for silence before motioning in the direction the buck had run off to, and the sounds of hunting wolves were heard. "You want to argue with them?"

"In season, out of season, does it really matter?" The lady was definitely pulling the authority card, it was her job he wouldn't blame her for that. He would blame the park for being absolutely too tight on rules. Who was going to miss that buck?

Robin cocked his head to the side, one straight brow curling like a caterpillar. Something about those wolves was not entirely normal.

When he reacted to the howls she smirked before crossing her arms. "That's why it matters. I try very hard to keep people off these tracks, and they don;t hurt anyone. When season starts? They leave people, and deer, alone." Then she sighed, "and I don't like people telling. These are beautiful creatures. People will just wipe them out again."

"It's one deer, what will it hurt? There's a lot of people I could feed worth one deer." Rubin didn'thunt for sport, thereawas always a benefit to his rewards. Others could collect and reap what he took. He was almost too selfless at times, except when it came to Marion. There he would forever be selfish.
