Jamie ducked his head, shrugging. "My best friend helped me through the crazy when I found out. Figured the least I could do was help someone else who was flailing."
"I did not flail," Roxanna laughed.
"You paced and had a gigglefit," Jamie pointed out. "So yeah, you sort of did."
He nodded, sighing. "It is," he agreed. "But I really love it. And there wasn't a whole lot of time to drink or smoke weed, plus my dad would not have been pleased."
The pair of them rolled their eyes, almost in unison. "Jamie's mom is actually pretty cool," Roxanna said. "It's just our dad that leaves a lot to be desired. It's why I haven't sought him out again."
