Amphitrite took a deep drink from her gin & tonic, glancing over the menu laid out in front of her. "So catch me up with what you've been doing," she said, folding it shut and putting it away. "Settled on a new career yet?"
Thetis shook her head. "I'm keeping my eyes open, but it's not like there's a rush to find something to cover next month's rent, you know?" she asked, sipping at her whiskey & soda. "Looking in on Achilles occasionally. And, well...Peleus and I have started seeing each other again."
Amphitrite raised her eyebrows over her glass. "Oh?" she asked, interested. "How's that working out?"
"We're having our courtship, two thousand years after the fact," she laughed. "I think we both just got too tired of fighting to keep it up. Eros might have helped us along-" Amphitrite made a derisive noise in her throat. "Not the best way to go about it, but it did force us to look at what we were doing with our lives."
"And what is it that you're doing?" Amphitrite asked.
"Just...enjoying each other's company, for right now, at least," Thetis answered. "We'll see where it leads, but it sort of makes me wonder what we missed out on, fighting with each other for ten plus centuries."
Amphitrite nodded. "Well if you want to make a go of it, then you should," she said. "I, on the other hand, will be spending as much time as possible on the opposite side of the city that Poseidon is on. Gods know we'll just destroy things otherwise."
