Thalia smiled at the pair of them, even as tired and wrung out as she was. "She's beautiful," she said, tearing up a little. She could feel her heart start to swell with love and a fierce instinct to protect her children from anything and everything that would ever try and harm them.
"I thought we could call her Alexandria," she said, making a valiant attempt to at least sit up halfway. "If you were alright with that."
The second nurse returned with their son, and handed him to Thalia, congratulated them, then excused herself.
His comment about wishing her a happy birthday made something ding faintly in the back of her mind. "What's the date?" she asked, curiously.
"The 1st," Hygeia told her, clearing up the drapes and assorted items. "Why?"
Thalia laughed. "It's April 1st. I gave birth on April Fools Day." She laughed, smiling down at her son. "When you're older, you'll understand why that's funny." She looked up at Hygeia as she left. "Oh, if Terps is still in the waiting room, will you send her in?"
