This new Amphitrite had changed and he wasn't following along with it. Her heart was cold and no longer open to him. It wasn't as if his was either. He wanted to see her crack but she kept bending him back trying to put him on his knees. The ocean even calmed to her and he was her master. The ocean was abandoning him as well.
The silence that surrounded them was deafening when the waves dropped to a silent whisper. She had turned into something he couldn't smother and hang up on his shelf.
