Poseidon had not taken well to her leaving. Worse was that she came back to dangle her new self in his face. She was a brazen, insufferable woman. It had turned his heart ice cold. At one time he could count that if he had nothing he at least had her and the ocean. Now it was as if both were laughing at his depression. He'd sworn long ago that if he lost her for good nothing good would come from it. She would destroy any heart he may have burried. Amphitrite was his weakness though no matter how angry he was. But seeing her now she wasn't his Amphitrite anymore. She was a different woman and treasure he could have as much loathe as he wanted.
The ocean hissed as he came close. Even now it looked as if the sea queen couldn't keep herself away. She swore it was her children, but Poseidon wondered if that little tug world always be his rope to her. "Can't stay away can you?" He was a bitter old man. He hated she could stomp on him so hard. He had neglected the ocean, he was buried in his hate and the water coiled like a snake to mimic his anger.
