Who: Clio, Ella, and Urania
What: Muse gossip (Originally posted by Clio)
When: Friday afternoon
Where: Central Park
Having time off usually meant she had far too much time to think, which usually led to bad choices being made. With Ella around, she could divert her attention to her daughter, and with the nicer weather she'd decided to pack things up and sit in the park. She'd called Urania as well, wanting to catch up with the sister she didn't see as often. She'd kept to herself so much, she felt bad for not being the big sister she was supposed to be.
When she'd arrived she'd put the blanket down before sitting Ella on it and handing her some toys. She took after both her parents, preferring to watch more then anything. She worried over her little girl, but put her trust in Fate. Surely she'd see this one grow up and have a good life.
with a sigh she shook those thoughts out of her head as she waited for her sister. She'd feel Urania so she was happy to focus her attention on her daughter for now.
Indeed Urania felt Clio as well and she made her way to her sister's side with ease. "Clio!" she said happily, leaning in for a hug. "And little Ella-squirt!" she cried again, planting a kiss on her niece's forehead. "Beautiful day!"
Happily she gave her sister a hug, setting her daughter down. Ella would be fine sitting between them. "I thought the same thing, and we've been inside for too long. It also has the added benefit of having you. Grinning she motioned her sister to sit, "I got some wine from Dionysus. How are you?"
Urania grinned at the idea of Dionysus wine. She had missed all this in Florida. "Brilliant! And I'm doing well? Why have you been stuck inside then? Mommying?"
"A little of that yeah," which hadn't mattered as much with her daughter, or her son. She'd had them with her wherever she'd gone when they'd been so small. She poured the drinks and set her fingers on her palms. The scars had long healed, but the memory remained.
"Mostly been afraid of my own shadow. I'd gotten hurt, by something more powerful, and before that ate had gotten a hold of me." She sighed, "today I said I wouldn't let all that hold me back anymore." She shook her head, "and my Ella needs sunlight. But we're not here for that. How have you settled in?"
Urania wrinkled up her nose and she looked concerned. She knew better than to press Clio to elaborate however. Instead she went with her sister's change of subject though she vowed to check in on Clio more often.
"I have! I even had a date last night! Some student who is doing a PhD in astronomy and spends a lot of time at the observatory."
She grinned to this, "oh, sounds very nice indeed." She didn't ask if this person was immortal or no. It didn't have any bearing on anything. "Do you think you'll see them again? Because I haven't gotten to put on my big sister face in a while."
She gave a teasing smile to that, as as long as her sisters were happy she only interfered when their partners were going to hurt them. "And what's their name. Promise I won't stalk."
"I probably will!" Urania said happily. "Though I do worry it is an unfair advantage to date me while writing a thesis on the stars. But he doesn't know that! His name is Wesley. It's kind of old-fashioned and rugged, don't you think? Wesley. Wes. Wessie. Well, Wessie isn't so rugged..."
She chuckled, "well we are Muses. Consider it part of doing your duty. You get to inspire him, he gets to write epic thesis' on stars." She smirked to the nicknames. "I like it. I'm glad you're enjoying yourself. I worry over my little sisters. We're not as connected as we used to be."
