"I'm sorry.." she said with a small laugh and kissed his cheek, "You look pretty delicious in cheese tho." she didn't get in the water, assuming he had made the bath for himself.. even tho he didn't really like baths. "I don't think anyone has ever made me as.. angry or emotional as you. I'd get upset with my other boyfriends.. but kinda passively." Greed was the first one she fought with or challenged. _____________________________________ He smacked her softly on the leg with the back of his hand. "Get in already...." He was taking care of her in his own way which wasn't always as twisted as everything else. Though he may have put too much bubble salt in there. They were starting to float up his arm. "What is anger not a normal thing for relationships?" He wasn't sure. They seemed to fight as much as they had fun, but it kept things interesting. _____________________________________ She was surprised and then smiled lovingly at him when she saw he had done the bath for her. She slid into the tub and a happy smile crossed her face like a baby seal being returned to the water. She shook her head, "No.. Well, it's complicated. Normally if people fight and get angry a lot then it's considered a toxic or poor relationship you should try to get out of." she thought about it, "But.. like, I never fought with Derek, but we never talked about real things.. or what bothered me or scared me.. I was always afraid that if I said what I actually felt, I'd lose him or whoever I was with. Anytime I'd try to say something," she took a deep breath and let it out, "I'd get told I was just too sensitive or overreacting." _____________________________________ He got comfortable on the towel on the floor and waved her over to where he could reach so he could wet her hair and get rid of all the greasy grime and tomato sauce. As he did that he massaged her head like he'd done earlier. Seriously humans had way too many things that made them so tense. He rubbed her temples with his thumbs, cradling her head softly as she talked. "So I'm toxic?" he was sure there were plenty that would say so. "I like talking with you." No matter how much it pissed him off sometimes he always found a way to milk out of her everything he could or he'd never understand what was going on in her head. _____________________________________ She closed her eyes and smiled as she had moved closer at his insistence and this was the first time he'd washed her hair, she liked it. He was such a big strong guy, but he was capable of such gentleness... "Everyone tells me you are..." but she didn't think he was toxic. "I like the way you listen... I don't think anyone's ever bothered to listen before. I don't understand how you can be toxic when you're the best thing that ever happened to me.." _____________________________________ "I berate you, force you to spit out what your thinking and smother you. I can see where I'm quite toxic." he rubbed the soap into her hair with the same finesse as his massage, give or take getting more on the bathroom floor than on her head. "People don't talk to me. I guess that's the whole boys don't talk shit and girls just want whats in my pants thing." But he liked to talk a lot. He had a mouth on him that most people didn't and it drove Lust crazy sometimes. So the fact that she let him talk and talked back, it was important to him. No one did that. _____________________________________ "You don't berate me.. sometimes you do but it's normally when we're yelling at each other." she relaxed more under his hair massage and commented, "You're the first guy to wash my hair.." since she knew he liked collecting firsts with her. She went back on topic and said, "I like talking to you. I like hearing about how you saw two squirrels doing it in the park on your lunch break." sometimes he really did ramble but she knew it was important to him so.. it was important to her. "And you're the first person in a long time who wants to hear what I have to say." she was always surprised when he asked her questions, when he wanted to know about her.
