Aglaia hated the cold weather and she had been working from home as much as possible for the past several weeks. That day she had called in and again she worked from home, editing articles that were sent to her as she sipped at the coffee which was warming her hands. When it was time to take a break, she stood and went in search of her husband.

The cold had never agreed with Hephaestus, and it likely never would. One of his patronages was fire, after all. In addition, the cold and wind made his legs feel stiff and even more useless than he thought they were. The polar vortex gripping the country at the moment was making him feel positively miserable, and he was spending as much time in his forge or in front of the fire as he could, soaking up the heat of the flames.

But right now, even standing at his workbench was proving painful, and he was sitting near the furnace he used for smelting, his legs propped up on a small footstool. It helped to sooth the stiffness in his knees.
