She scoffed. "Your church has issues. Self harm is about as holy as my foot." She got just as bad when Patrick had done it, and it was still something she often discussed with him. "a lot of things are considered holy, and in earlier times even more things, but it doesn't make it right."
She rose with her daughter in her arms. "As I recall it, your savior was tortured. There wasn't anything in it besides basic cruelty. Hurting yourself with the pretense of it being something holy is wrong." She shifted Ella for a moment. "But you're right. She doesn't need to see this. It'll upset her."
She kissed her daughter's temple before walking to the nursery. There she put Ella down with some toys before returning. "Two year olds are really easily amused." She had also gotten a basic first aid kit. Living with two Saints, a young child and a teenager made it a necessity. "Now. Shirt off. Aesculapius is immortal if it's bad enough, plush e's family.
