Lena reached out and helped Jamie lift Thomas up so he could spill himself onto the mattress. She set him up in the middle of it, on his side, and then she crawled in on one side of him, glad the mattress was big enough for three if Jamie wanted to join them.
"Try to sleep, Thomas," Lena said, reaching out to brush his cheek.
"Feel like I'm flying," he murmured.
"I'm sure you do," she replied. "And I'll just thank my lucky stars I was never psychologically addicted and therefore don't feel like running out to find a dealer right now." To Jamie, she said, "are you hungry or anything?"
