Maddy bounced a little in her seat as they drove away. She loved shopping, but she hadn't had the time or inclination to go for the past few weeks. "Just don't let me buy five new pairs of shoes, my closet hates me already."
"You make it sound like I'm going to keep an army of tiny men in my pockets," Maddy giggled. "And I can only handle one man in my life at a time, so unless I become a supervillainess, perhaps I should give up on that dream."
