Heroin smiled fondly. Jesse thought she rather looked like a matriarch presiding over her house.
"They haven't thrown me out yet," Jesse agreed, smiling a little.
"You haven't given us reason to, liebling," Vicodin said. "We aren't unreasonable. Everyone does their job, everyone gets paid, everyone's happy."
Heroin nodded, raising her glass. "Here, here," she agreed. "And while I'm thinking about it, you must come to my little costume party I'm holding on Halloween."
"Little, she says," Vicodin laughed. "I think the only more lavish parties are thrown by world royalty."
