Smiling she ran her hand through his hair. "Welcome to being a parent, really. Unfortunately we can't hover either. Kids grow up, and we have to trust we taught them well and they will be okay. You'll always worry. That never ends. I have the same worries with Ella, and sometimes I have to force myself to step back."
She kissed his forehead, "which is fair. I can't relate. But you can. We can give her warnings, and help her should the worst occur. But we'll hope for the best."
