Maddy squeezed his hand and led them inside, giving her name at the desk. Then she took a seat and waited for them to call her.
"The actual test isn't too bad," Jamie tried to reassure her. "They'll draw some blood, and that's pretty much it. The waiting is worse than the actual test."
Maddy smiled wryly at him. "I was feeling a bit better, til you started in on the whole waiting thing."
