Most days, Lucifer didn't go out much. Cutting a bloody swath through the city was frowned upon, and most days it's what he wanted to do. But he also made deals and slid his way from one person to the other, promising what could never be kept for a promise.
People were drawn to him as they were drawn to sunlight and he took advantage of it. But for now he just walked through the park and watched the mortals scurry like ants.
He paused near the young girl. He could sense the ties to Hell she carried, courtesy of Satan, but she hadn't done it for money or fame. Usually they were the common reasons so he was curious.
With a charming smile he sat down beside her. He ignored the children, he generally disliked them out of principle, and turned to her. "You look familiar. Have we met?"
