A cab ride was never Hermes' favourite of things. A cab ride that lasted hours while he was covered in injuries from torture was unimaginable. By the time Hermes arrived in Philadelphia he was beginning to regret his decision to see his daughter before heading home, but it was too late to turn back now. He made the cab driver make one stop first so he could purchase some clothes that actually fit him. Then he continued on to Erica's home.
He didn't know what to expect from his daughter. They had spoken now, while Kat was in hospital. Things were still not all right between them, however. But he had spent weeks being tortured mercilessly for the sake of Erica's daughter, as well as Hecate, and now all he wanted to do was see Erica's face again. He loved her so much he didn't really understand it, and when he thought he would die in the devil's den, all he could think of was his dear little girl. He remembered how she had smiled up at him and hung on his every word. He wanted it back.
So he rang the bell and waited, trying not to keel over while he did so.
