"Oh trust me, these are terrible." She grinned. "But you're sweet for saying so."
"You say that now, and I'll call you at 1 a.m. because we're out of chocolate syrup for my ice cream and it will be the end of the world," she laughed. "And watch, they'll get the knack for fire and great comedic timing. They can take an act on the road."
The nurse opened an exam room door, ushering them inside. There was a gown lying on the paper-covered table, and Thalia made a face.
"I know, they're pretty ugly and no one looks good in them," the nurse sympathized. "Go ahead and get changed, I'll be back in a little bit." She put her clipboard in the basket on the door and stepped out, closing the door behind her.
Thalia sighed and pulled the elastic off her wrist, tying her hair up in a messy ponytail. Then she shed her clothes and pulled on the gown, tying it at the neck and hopping up on the table. "These things are always uncomfortable, I think it's a requirement," she joked.
