She smiled slightly, and unconsciously laid a hand on her still-flat stomach. "I'm still trying to wrap my brain around it," she admitted. "I mean, it's certainly unexpected, but not unwelcome." She sipped at her tea, looking for the right words.
"My children aren't coming back to me," she finally continued. "And I was always at my happiest when they were in my life, and when there were people to inspire. So...I want to raise this child. And...and however involved you want to be, I'm pretty OK with it, but they should know you, too."
