WHO: Thomas and Lena
WHAT: Back together
WHEN: After getting back together.
WHERE: Kemp apartment
WARNINGS: Mentions of sex
They had only been apart for four days, but to Thomas and Lena, it had seemed like forever. Upon finding out that it had been the machinations of a demon that had driven them apart, they had wasted no time in coming together again.
That first night back together, they had spent until sunrise just talking. There were things that had to be discussed, and then Lena had listened to Thomas talk about how worried he was about Maddy. Thomas, in turn, had listened to Lena discuss how guilty she felt about leaving Jamie. By the time they fell asleep, both of them were feeling much less burdened.
The next night, there hadn't been much talking at all, choosing to celebrate their reunion in entirely physical ways.
It was Thomas' stomach that finally drove him out of bed the next morning, despite wishing he could stay curled up beside the warm body of his girlfriend forever. Especially since he had woken up and remembered who she was. Unfortunately, his hunger wouldn't be ignored.
He rose and showered first, making his way out of the bedroom with a towel across his shoulders and clad only in pajama bottoms. He didn't bother with a shirt. That seemed like far too much effort for six in the morning.
Thomas was in the kitchen frying up some eggs when Lena wandered into it looking like she had stuck her finger in an electrical socket and that had severely depressed her. Lena was not an early morning person, and it was hardly surprising since she usually didn't finish work until 1am. Any time before 8 in the morning was too early for her and Thomas felt bad for waking her. Before she had coffee into her it was pointless to even speak to her, as she would not speak back no matter how much she loved you.
When she entered the room at a Frankenstein Monster-like pace, her pink hair sticking up in all directions, Thomas pointed to the coffee which was freshly brewed without saying a word. Lena shuffled over to it, grabbing a mug on his way. She poured herself a glass and he stood in the corner looking grumpy while she tipped the brew into her face without adding a thing.
Thomas served himself some eggs and toast and he sat at the table, waiting for Lena to give him the cue it was alright to speak. It was a comforting dance and Thomas smiled all through his meal, even though the kitchen was silent. He had thought he lost Lena and yet here she was. He didn't have to face mornings alone after getting so used to her presence. It made him feel warm, safe and loved.
"Urgh," Lena finally groaned.
"Do you want some toast?" Thomas asked her and Lena responded by looking like she had never wanted anything less. "Fair enough. Charlotte sent you some Turkish Delight last night by the way. She feels bad you guys fought." To that, Lena's lips lifted in a smile.
"Did you sleep well?" Thomas asked.
"I was only back at my own place for a few days and I still forgot how comfy your bed was," Lena replied, a small smirk working its way onto her face.
"Or how tired sex makes you, grandma?" Thomas teased.
"Oh hah hah, you're older than I am!" Lena protested, but she still looked incredibly amused.
"I was referring to how you're walking this morning, actually. It's almost ungainly for someone as cat-like as you." He took a victory sip of coffee and very nearly choked on it because he tried to swallow too much. It kind of served him right.
Lena snorted into her second cup of coffee. "And whose fault is that?" she asked, arching an eyebrow. "That wasn't a question, by the way. It's your fault. Eat your toast and stop choking on your coffee."
Thomas responded with a grin as he did just that. "What did you want to do today? I'm bored. We should go out or something. Please don't make me stay in the apartment?" There was a moment's silence and then he laughed, "you're going to make me stay in the apartment, aren't you?"
"You are still recovering, of course I am. But I could make it interesting for you," she said with a grin. "We could stay in bed and I could eat that Turkish delight off of you. Just a thought."
Thomas paused with his forkful of egg halfway to his mouth. "I would get so powdery."
"I would have to lick it off," Lena explained, making it sound like it was such a pity, but she was grinning now too.
"Well," Thomas laughed. "Can't complain about that!"
"I should hope not!" she laughed.
"I so don't think that's what Charlotte had in mind when she got you the Turkish Delight either." He laughed loudly, imagining the look on her face.
"Char will think it's hilarious! Finish your breakfast, I'll be waiting in your room. If I'm going to be up at the asscrack of dawn, we might as well have morning sex."
Thomas had never inhaled a piece of toast more quickly than that moment, and he rushed to follow her back into his bedroom.
