WHO: Persephone and Hades WHAT: Cute bedtimes! WHEN: Wednesday evening WHERE: Hades' mansiony thing WARNINGS: TBA but likely sexay times!
Over the past few days, Persephone had been getting more and more comfortable with being in Hades' home. Over time, her fear faded and it was replaced with the memory of love for her husband. She remembered his kind eyes and the way he smiled at her and no one else. The way he was faithful to her, which was mostly unheard of in their pantheon.
She was still slightly trepidacious, but she wanted to do something to show him she remembered the kindness he held for her. And, since she was all too aware they hadn't been together much near the end of when she had last been here and then she had been gone for the end of summer, she did miss being with someone like that.
While Hades was elsewhere in the house, Persephone snuck unto his room and she removed her clothes, hiding under his covers completely naked. When he came to his bed he would find her there, smiling sweetly up at him.
Despite enjoying some actual time to breathe, Hades missed being busy. The few jobs he kept for appearances sake were something he could easily accomplish. But doing too much would make him lose out on chances to spend with his daughters and now his wife.
All this he was carefully considering as he made his way to his bedroom. That and ways to lure Persephone more out of her shell. He'd looked through everything the city had to offer and planned to bring it up. The first few weeks were always his to use as time to court her with. If anything he hoped it would remind her that he wasn't all that bad. And he could assume she liked being able to leave the house. It was a luxury he hadn't always been able to provide for her.
He'd only just closed the door behind him when he noticed Persephone in his bed, and he was just a little surprised. Pleasantly so and he could hardly help how his eyes drifted down the sheets, but he smiled. "Hello." Not very romantic and even he could tell but she was the only one who could get him so speechless.
Persephone grinned cutely, sitting up in the bed, holding the sheets to her chest just for now. "Hello," she teased him gently. "Nice of you to join me."
He nodded, walking to the bed and sitting next to her. He was too busy counting his good luck to really ask, and he didn't want her to think she should leave. He watched her, reaching out his hand to set his fingers on her shoulder. "I rather like this surprise."
"I thought you might," she said, her cheeks glowing slightly red. Slowly, she started to lower the sheet she had had held up to her chin. "I was starting to remember the nicer things. I remembered your eyes. I really love your eyes."
He watched the sheet for a moment before looking to her, "do you?" Despite his wants he knew this was still shaky ground. She was here on her free will and he wasn't in a hurry to say or do something stupid to make her leave.
He removed his shoes and went to move a bit closer to her, setting his fingers on her cheek. "HAve I mentioned you're stunning?"
Persephone beamed at him as he complimented her and she lowered the sheet yet further as a reward. "I love the way you smile when you look at me," she said, smirking a little. "I've missed you," she admitted.
He was starting to appreciate this little reward system of hers, especially because he was curious if his assumption was true. "You have the habit of making me do that." He studied her and smiled, "I always miss you." He leaned a bit closer to her, "would you let me kiss you?" He always asked, at first.
Persephone nodded, dropping the sheet entirely so that it pooled in her lap, leaving the top half of her body exposed. Her heart started pounding, nervous but happy as she leaned towards him.
He didn't hesitate to kiss her now she'd allowed it. He had missed her. He kept part of his patience however, keeping the kiss as gentle as he could while letting his hand run down her arm
She could tell he was holding himself back as he kissed her gently, and that in itself was enough to quell her nerves. She leaned into the kiss, lacing her hands into his hair so he would kiss her more deeply. Then she raised to her knees, the sheets sliding off of her skin as she pressed her body against his, half-glad and half-lamenting that he was still clothed.
He'd learned her clues well, so he eagerly deepened the kiss, setting his hand on her side and curling closer to him. Despite the urge not to he intended to take his time to relearn her.
And now Persephone remembered all the reasons she had tried to stay here with him even after the end of winter. Hades was warm and kind and loving, even if he had become her husband through trickery. She loved him now. He hated that she was torn between two worlds and two people she loved so much. At the moment, however, she was here with him and nothing else mattered.
Becoming bolder, Persephone reached for his shirt to help him out of it. Now she longed for the feeling of skin on skin.
He only stopped touching her to help her get him out of his shirt before setting his hands back on her side. He couldn't deny that he regretted asking her to stay, even the consequences had been dire. He'd not repeat the action, even though he wanted to.
Right now he focused on her and let his hands slide down her legs.
Now that Hades was topless, Persephone ran her fingers over his back as she pulled him close. She pressed against him, kissing her husband deeply and forgetting the fear she had felt completely.
It wasn't hard at all to sink into her touch and kiss. Gently he removed the blanket from her, setting one hand on her thigh and the other on her cheek.
Persephone was perfectly willing to let him discover her again if that was what he wanted to do. She moved a little so she could lean backwards against the mattress, and then she reached for him again, trying to coax him over her.
