Thomas sniffed and wiped at his eyes a little before grinned at all of them. "I don't mind," he said honestly. He was a fairly neat person, because in his old apartment any form of clutter was just roach fodder. He had been well-trained by circumstances. But the apartment could be a bomb site for all he cared. He was in a relationship with a person who had helped take care of his son. It was wonderful.
"Though caves of sadness aren't fantastic." And he wasn't necessarily about to make that better. "Guys, can I talk to Jamie alone for a few moments?"
"Sure," Lena leaned down to kiss Thomas again. "I'll go get something for you to drink." She reached out for Emma's hand and, after planting a kiss on Thomas' forehead herself, the two women left Thomas and Jamie alone.
