"Sounds like a wonderful idea," he said, taking her hands. Once up, he wrapped an arm around her and took his time ambling back to the hotel.
The pool was pretty empty, which was nice. Most of the other guests seemed to prefer a different pool at night which left the one closer to their room essentially empty. Thomas was lying back in a lounge chair on the poolside, wearing just his swimming trunks. They were dry, however, showing he hadn't yet gotten into the pool. Instead he was resting with a washcloth which had been dipped in cold water resting on his forehead to distract him from the fact that his brain was throbbing.
Ever since leaving for Europe, he had had a headache on and off. In Italy he had even abstained from trying the wine (something he was very sad about) because he didn't want to make his head any worse. Indeed on the table beside him was a glass of water instead of alcohol. He still looked up and smiled when Victor and Kat walked in.
