Clotho just smiled fondly and shook her head, then got up to turn the sign on the shop to 'closed', locking the door before following Atropos up the stairs to their apartment.
"Well, we love having people over and hearing their stories," Lachesis said, leading the way up the stairs. "We don't often get guests whose duties are related to ours."
Atropos had put the kettle on, leaning against the kitchen counter as the water heated up. Clotho pulled down some cookies that they would swear up and down they kept for company, but all of them snuck into the box from time to time.
