Jamie just gave the pair of them a fond, amused look. "Strange people," he said. "I'll start mundane, I think."
He didn't have to wait terribly long before his name was called, and the artist came out to discuss the piece with him. "I wanted to get the ribbon in a darker blue, beyond that, whatever colors you think would work for a giraffe, I'm down."
The artist nodded. "Sounds good. Let me just go and trace this real quick, then we can get started." He took Jamie's sketch and traced it onto another sheet of paper, beckoning him over to the chair once he was finished. "Have a seat," he said. Jamie did so, taking off his hoodie and sitting down. He held out his left forearm, and the artist swabbed it with alcohol, then traced the design onto Jamie's arm.
"Looks good?" he asked, pulling on gloves. Jamie nodded. "Fire away."
"Let's rock and roll," he said, loading up the gun with ink and setting to work.
