Thankfully the maintenance on Nicholas' bike was largely routine, because Jesse's head was only about 75% on it. He hadn't seen or thought about Nicholas in a long time, and it had been a bit of a shock to see him again, but he wasn't displeased, by any means.
Around a quarter after six, a shout went up from Aaron, the man who owned the shop. "Go on, get out of here, I'm tired of looking at you," he bellowed. "Cash out if they're still here, go home if they're not, same song and dance tomorrow." Most of the mechanics scattered, leaving Jesse to do a few minor tuneups, before taking the bike back out to Nicholas.
