"You're quite welcome," Lachesis said, tucking her skirt out of the way so she could sit down. "We think it's because all three of us have never been apart from each other for very long, we know the best ways to get each other's hackles."
Atropos and Clotho looked at each other, and Atropos knew Clotho was remembering when she'd been ripped from her sisters and held prisoner for a month. Atropos raised an eyebrow, Clotho shook her head and sipped at her tea.
"You'd be amazed how often people think we can read each other's minds," Atropos went on. "Which, while sometimes that would be useful, is not one of our talents."
