Ilsa took a little of the food without hesitation - new foods were one of her favourite things - and once she was chewing it she nodded with a smile. After swallowing she said, "it's good. I like it. Is cooking a divine power or just a natural skill?" Along with her smile she took another small mouthful.
"Must be nice to have the absolute knowledge that you're right about faith," Ilsa considered, but then added, "or perhaps not. Maybe it's not faith anymore if it's something you can know for sure. Since finding out about all of this, I've been having a lot of thoughts about the nature of faith and belief. It's strange. Do you pray?" she asked him. "If that isn't too personal of a question? I don't really have a complete understanding of the way Hinduism works. I know there's separate gods but... you're avatars of each other... or of one? I'm sorry," she said, fiddling with her fork a little. "Tell me if I'm asking too many questions."
"Balance, I like that," Ilsa agreed. "Less of a good over evil and more of the world holding all things in a sort of order. So why are you here in America and not back in India? Don't they need you there more?"
