WHO: Greed & Zoe WHEN: Friday night [Backdated] WHERE: Zoe's apartment, Little old lady's house, Greed's place WHAT: Tea party! WARNING: Fleecing little old ladies
That same Friday night, Zoe changed into comfy PJ bottoms and a cute cami. It'd been a big day with getting a job and a boyfriend and she just wanted to curl up on the couch and zone out to the TV. She'd grabbed a blanket when the doorbell sounded. She dragged herself off the couch and flung the door open only to see said boyfriend on the other side. She broke out into a grin, "We have got to get you a calendar.." _________________ He was grinning like a cheeky monkey. He pulled back the jacket he'd thrown over his t-shirt earlier. "I'm a few hours early." He couldn't wait. Going back to work he'd been floating around more than usual, haunting the other offices more annoyingly than ever. He plucked a few items from his neighbor's desk, slipping in as often as he could that he had a girlfriend. Even packing up for the day he made all those lonely schmucks envious by saying he was going to his girlfriend's. Compared to most of them----overweight, divorced, or separated, Greed was the super model of the office. He was the guy they all knew headed out the door getting a piece of ass.
He tackled her again, spinning her around in circles while in his arms. "You're coming with me." He was tempted to dress her all up Victorian-like because that's what he thought of when he thought tea party. _______________ She chuckled when he spun her around, life with Greed was never dull and always full of surprises. She didn’t know how anyone expected her to date a normal guy after knowing what it was like with Greed. “You’re kidnapping me again? It’s past 10 and I’m in my jammies. So I hope they don’t have a dress code.” ______________ "It's ten already?! We can't waste anymore time then. Get dressed. Something pretty." He was dead serious. He headed to her room to rummaged her closet. It was a shame she hadn't kept any of the fantastic clothes he'd bought her. ______ She put her hands on her hips, “I’ll have you know these jammies are beautiful.”
She followed him into her room and grabbed his arm before he could make too much of a mess, “Hey hey hey, can you tell me why I need to wear something pretty this late at night? Where are you taking me?” she rummaged herself in the closet, “Can I wear jeans or does it have to be a dress so you have an excuse to grab my legs?” ________________ "No jeans. It has to be something nice." He wasn't even dressed for what he was planning, but he would be. He pulled out anything from her closet that looked possible and tossed it onto the bed.
He threw his hands up still not satisfied. "Why didn't you keep anything I bought you?!" He grumbled still not pleased with his selections. ____________ She sighed at the mess he was making, “Because we’d broken up and you were an asshole.” she spread her hands in front of her to show her meager wares in the dress department, “This is the selection, pick whichever will make you whine the least.”
She sat down on the bed next to the dresses and yawned, “Cause no store is open at this time of night.” ____________ He tapped a finger against his lip, tugging the bottom lip between his fingers like some kind of torture device.
"No, but...." The wheels in his head were turning. He was getting an idea which could be dangerous. _______________ Zoe saw the look on his face and narrowed her eyes, “If it involves breaking the law you’re going to have to do it on your own. I just got a job and it’s gonna be hard to explain why I can’t start cause I’m in jail.” she raised her brows, “Or we can go do whatever it is you want to dress up for next month when I’ll have money and can afford to buy a new dress.” please let him pick that option. ______________ "Isn’t there a thrift store near here?" He scratched his chin, pondering between at least two of her outfits that might do, but he was particular. "You got any old ladies that live nearby?" ____________ “Probably.” she waved her hand. When he asked about old ladies she frowned, “I’m pretty sure you’d hate their clothes more than you hate mine. Do you have any stylish old ladies that live near you?” it wasn’t an actual question, but rhetorical one. ____________ "Oh! I think I do," his eyes brightened to giant saucers with crystal blue pupils. "That's perfect!" He grabbed her face to pelt with kisses. "Let's go." He shoved her towards the door, throwing her coat over her shoulders. ____________ Her mouth dropped open, “Wha-- No, Chance, I wasn’t actually asking--” but he was accosting her with kisses and cutting off her words.
She sighed, “I need my shoes unless you plan on carrying me.” She loved him. She really did. Sometimes she just didn’t know why. __________ "Right. Shoes. Get some heels while you're at it. Strappy ones." He shoved the air emphasizing the urgency. "We don't have a lot of time!"
When they got outside he practically threw her into the car headed towards his neighborhood. They drove slow as he inspected each house, looking through the windows with his binoculars. Finally, he found what he was looking for, parking the car at the end of the street. "Act like we're lost." He wanted her to come with him, but she would probably decline. ____________ She said her standard tirade of how he was crazy but he already knew and never let it stop him. Her mouth dropped open again as she looked at him being a creeper, “Why do you have binoculars in your car!? Oh please tell me you’ve never looked at me through them. You have, haven’t you.” she covered her eyes with her hand.
She looked at him when he got out of the car and made a worried face, “Chance. I am in a coat, strappy heels, and PJ bottoms, I don’t think they’ll buy we’re lost. Why. What are you planning on doing?” she didn’t want to go with him but if he was planning on fleecing some sweet old grandmother, she wanted to be there so he didn’t wind up accidentally breaking her hip or something. Besides, he lived in a super rich neighborhood, she doubted any of these people were hard up for cash. But she made sure to grip his hand and get him to spill his plan before she’d budge or let him budge. _____________ He threw the binoculars down, looking over his shoulder in her direction. "I might have. A night or two. Don't worry, I didn't get to see much. You cover up everything with flannel." He gestured over her attire, while the cami was cute, she could stand to wear some more revealing things to bed. "She's so old she probably can't even see without glasses. I just want to take a peek at her wardrobe, see if she's got something vintage." This was completely normal. It wasn't like he didn't raid an old house before, but Zoe was giving him that look. "Relax. I got this." _____________ Why was she not surprised that the man who was now her boyfriend used to peep on her. She had that look on her face and she held his hand still, “Chance.. “ she was going to go with him to make sure no one got hurt. “If we do this... can we return it? I know that’s not your thing.. so what if I take it and return it? A vintage dress is different than ripping off some department store that manufactures 100 of the same thing. That old lady probably had her first date in it or something and sentimental things...” she trailed off as her hand went to her collarbone to fiddle with her locket but it wasn’t there. She bowed her head as her eyes filled. She wasn’t going to cry, but it was painful to be without her most treasured possession. The thought of taking away someone elses was just brutal. ____________ "That woman is two steps in the grave. She won't even miss it." It was times like this that he didn't care what he stole from someone else, but Zoe was humanizing it. She was taking it on a personal level.
He flopped back in his seat. "You take it you do what you want. If I stash it I'm not taking it back." She had a little more charity in her than he'd like to admit, but it was the only way he would let her walk back in that house with whatever they took. This was Greed's fun. ____________ Zoe thought about it and then looked at him. She knew he hated the idea of caring or returning, even if she did it. He’d sit and grumble the whole time or go get into mischief while she was gone.
She suddenly shifted in her seat and grabbed onto his shoulder, scooting over so she was climbing right into his lap, straddling him. They were squished in that seat but she had a feeling he wouldn’t mind too much. “I have an idea.” ______________ He whistled softly as she straddled him to the seat. It was a comfortable position, one that sadly couldn't go anywhere. He grinned with a perked lip. "Oh?" She definitely had his curiosity. _____________ She grinned down at him, “Uh huh.” and then she laid one on him. It was one of those passioante kisses they didn’t get to do anymore. Hot and heavy and oh yeah, why didn’t they get to do it anymore? Probably because of exactly what would happen in 3..2..1.. Greed passed out. Zoe sighed and looked at him. She leaned forward and kissed his nose then got out of the car.
Some time would pass and when Greed finally came back to life and was lucid, Zoe told him they could go. Sure enough, in the backseat was a beautiful shiny dress that was a bit frayed and worn but still pretty. She refused to say how she got it or where she got it from. But they had it so... ______________ He woke to up to a smug Zoe who had managed to outsmart him for a second. He had to give her props she was learning. He had concocted an elaborate story for them to follow about a local theater, some play, but Zoe took it a few steps further without his assistance.
He rubbed his temples in a repetitive motion until he felt the throbbing disappear. He started up the car taking a glance at the clock for the time. "You're back already?" He was still a spinning loon. ________________ “Yep, you weren’t out for that long. I just wanted to short circuit your brain, not put you into a coma.” she leaned over and kissed his cheek, “I’m sorry but I thought it’d be better if I did this crime on my own. Aren’t you proud?” though she had just taken the fib Greed was going to tell and put another spin on it.
“So, now can you tell me what’s going on?” she was burning with curiosity. ______________ He blinked a few times, trying to recircut his brain to function. It was amazing even after that kind of hit he was revving to go. He drummed his hands across the steering wheel with his own beat. "We are going to a tea party." He expressed gleefully as if it was his best idea yet. "Shame you didn't snatch her old pot and tea cup set." He spoke as he looked into the backseat. It was juvenile, something only little girls did these days---but there was a time tea was essential to the day. He used to have tea with Stella and Lust. At dinner parties and afternoon brunches. He had also bought a motherload of various boxes of tea that would take Zoe two years to go through. ____________ She blinked, out of all the things he could have possibly said, that was not one she’d have guessed in a million years. She gave him an odd look, “You don’t even drink tea..” he’d kicked up a fuss when she bought one small box for herself.
“I’m sure you have a better tea set stashed somewhere in your kitchen for some reason.” she was saying it half jokingly but with Greed you never knew. ____________ "I don't really but Mary drank your box. So I bought the whole aisle. Therefore tea party." He instructed her very seriously with his hands. This was important. _____________ She looked taken aback, “Oh.” was all she could manage and then fell silent and looked out the window. She guessed it was sweet he bought the whole aisle.. but it rubbed her the wrong way that Mary had drank the whole box. How often was she over there to do that? And ugh, she was in Greed’s home. His home. Not even Zoe had been there that many times. Just a couple and one of them was when she showed up without invitation. She wondered if Mary got invitations over. They’d probably done it all over his apartment. Ugh. _____________ "I think she stashed it down her shirt. She used like two at a time. I was very pissed." It had bothered him that Mary encroached his space then used it as if it was her space to do so. "I stopped having her over after that." _____________ Zoe really didn’t believe that Mary would smuggle tea, even with two bags at a time, that was a number of visits. “Mm, you saw her today.” not having her over and being pissed certainly didn’t seem to stop Greed from seeing the leggy blonde. “By the way... did you break up with her?” last thing she needed was the preacher’s daughter praying to her Saint to go avenge her against the other woman. _______________ "I wasn't dating her. How can I break up with her?" Greed really didn't have experience in 'breaking up' with people when be usually just dropped them all together when he'd moved on to other things. This was a gentler approach he wasn't accustomed to.
He started up the car a few streets down to his apartment was really his own space, practically a house. He spun into the driveway still slightly winded from her whopping kiss. _____________ She sighed, “Just because you think you weren’t dating her doesn’t mean you weren’t dating her. She’s the daughter of a preacher and I don’t know how it works but if she prays to Virtues or Saint George or someone to come after my head because she thinks you’re having an affair with me, I probably won’t be thrilled.” and unlike Greed, she couldn’t come back from the dead. _____________ "She doesn't seem the violent type....I think you're safe." He really didn't plan on seeing her again, she had worn out her welcome. He wasn't interested in cushioning the blow of ignoring her. ______________ She let her head hit the window lightly, “She still thinks you’re seeing her then, doesn’t she.” more than anything, it was annoying that some chick out there thought Greed was available. She was feeling a tiny bit possessive. She’d been nice to the girl but that didn’t mean she was willing to share. ______________ "No, she doesn't. She stormed off in a huff. She's not coming around anytime soon." He hopped out of the car, grabbing her dress from the back. He hadn't had a chance to really get a good look at it. So far it sparkled like silver diamonds. _____________ She was surprised to hear that and got out of the car, taking the dress from him, “My score, my dress. Besides, I want you to see me in it before you actually see it.” he had her and she’d be in the dress, he’d have the dress by proxy.
She couldn’t help but smile big as she asked, “Really? How come she stormed off so angry?” okay so it was mean but she liked the fact Ms. Tits and Ass and Blonde wouldn’t be around any time soon. _______________ "Because I'm a selfish asshole who has Goo-Goo eyes for something a lot shinier?" He quickly ran to the door first as if they were in some race to see who got there first.
It was the first time she had been in his apartment since their cake decorating fiasco. He flipped the switch to the lights. Now she could see the mound of tea piled up on his kitchen counter. _____________ “Oh yeah? What’s shinier than her hair?” she had the dress bundled in her arms in a way it wouldn’t get wrinkled but it had a bag thing on it so only a bit could be seen.
She walked into his place and raised her brows at the ton of tea. He wasn’t kidding... “Should I change?” she was wildly amused even though she shouldn’t be. _____________ Greed tapped his chin. "She wasn't a real blonde," he informed her with wide eyes. This was no secret, but he thought it might put some of her fears to rest. Besides he'd started to become more attracted to darker-haired girls.
"Yes!" He clapped with a hopping motion. He was excited to see this dress she snuck out. It was like rummaging through an estate sale, there were hidden gems. In the meantime he shuffled through his closet to find a suit comparable to her gown. The suit he had very well found at an estate sale. ______________ She grinned, “No kidding.” she said in a mock amazed voice. “It’s weird, I always get lots of blondes.” she said off the cuff, Gabe was blonde, Mike was blonde, so was Greed.
She followed him into his room and went into the bathroom and put the dress down. She shut the door and took off the shoes so she could take off her jammies and get ready. She spent a little extra time on being careful with the dress and making it fit. Plus she actually tried to do her hair a little nice to match the dress so when Greed finally saw, it was a little enchanting. _______________ Greed emerged looking like he was meant for another time. Then...
Zoe.
His world stood still as his eyes grew over her sparkling silver and peach gown. He had already set up in the living room what tea set he could find which was a combination of about five. What should have been a few saucers, cups, pot and creamer set took up nearly his entire table. He threw his arms out in a surprise swoop. For the most part he'd gotten that right. __________ Zoe seemed equally taken with Greed, her eyes looking over him as well. But it wasn’t sexual, it was just appreciative. He looked dashing. She let out a soft laugh, her face lighting up with joy and surprise when she saw the set up. It looked like a mad tea party from Alice in Wonderland with Greed as the mad hatter. She threaded her fingers together and brought them to her collarbone as she looked at it all with a big smile. No, no one else in the world would have dragged her out at night to go steal a vintage dress and then have a tea party. Every time she thought she couldn’t love him more, somehow he found a way to make it happen. _____________ Greed stuck his chin out with a prized look on his face. She was totally scoping him out. He nudged her chin with his knuckle. "Don't drool now." Though he was still taking in her entire look. She rocked the vintage.
He quickly ran into the kitchen and picked up an armful of tea, dropping the boxes onto the couch. "What flavor?" He had just about everything in the kitchen that Zone could possibly think of and then some. ____________ She grinned, she always drooled over him. Tried not to, but he was ridiculous and hot and well it was a killing combination.
She was a little overwhelmed, “Ummmm... do you have rose?” it seemed like a nice old tea to go with their dressed upness. She furrowed a brow looking at how much there was of it, “Chance.. you know you didn’t have to do all this.. it was just a box of tea.” she hadn’t been thrilled that Mary drank the box, the first and only thing of Zoe’s to ever find a place in Greed’s apartment, but she didn’t think it warranted him going to such lengths. _____________ He dug through the pile, throwing aside anything that didn't agree with her request. Finally he found two boxes one a black tea, one the white tea. He then fished through the pile that was still in the kitchen. "Here's green too." He set them all up in a line and repeated their names. "Black rose, white rose and green rose. Take your pick." ________________ “Black rose...” she was a bit wowed by it all. “Um... do you know how to make tea?” it was sweet in a crazy way. ______________ "I've drank more than made it. But can't be that hard. Just stick the bags in the kettle right? Then pour?" ______________ She smiled and nodded, it really was that easy. When he’d done that, she took his hand and tugged him towards her so she could kiss his cheek and rest her head on his shoulder. ______________ There were a lot of memories Greed would like to flush out of his mind. Ones that had been opened up when in Lithuania.
He burned the first pot of tea. When he went for the second he let Zoe take over while he dragged out all the scones and mini cakes, which decorated in at least a dozen rows of color. All entirely bad for one's health. ________________ Zoe happily made the tea and looked delighted at the pastries. “Petit fours?” she asked with a slight squeal. They were expensive so she never got to have them. She poured him a cup and her too as she sat next to him and picked one of the mini cakes up. One bite and it was heaven. She let out a small moan and held up the remaining bit of cake up to his mouth, “This is amazing...” ______________ His moan equalled hers at that little bite, so he took another. There was enough cake to make at least three meals out of, but he had a bigger appetite. If she wasn't careful she wouldn't get more than a few bites. He might not be Gluttony, but he could come close in appetite.
Between her, the tea and dessert, this was already turning into a better memory. Something that didn't remind him of the girl whose life he ganked out of madness.
"Fuck, they are." He grabbed for a few more, holding at least three in his hand. There was one with a hazelnut drizzle on top. When he swallowed that he could have had a moment all to himself. ___________ She tapped his arm and looked at him expectantly, when he didn’t get it, she open her mouth. She wanted him to feed her like she had him. It wasn’t exactly sharing but she wanted him to get used to doing things together even in small ways. She couldn’t introduce him to a bunch of those relationship concepts in Lithuania and not continue to help him remember them here. ________________ She had started to train him in how ways to share that gave him something in return. If she had nothing to give up and give back then her cause was lost.
He levitated the cake over in front of her mouth like an airplane, finally letting it dive right in. He grabbed her, dragging her into his lap while she chewed on that bite. He was looking for what she was gonna give him now. _____________ She just had time to close her mouth around the piece before she got grabbed. She laughed between chewing the cake as she wound up in his lap. She mock scolded him, “Most improper, Avarice.” but she had a smile on her face as she leaned in and nuzzled the hair behind his ear. ________________ "Oh? Am I? I'm sorry, I didn't realize," he delivered an innocence that appeared really earnest. He even played coy with the tickle of her nose against his skin. It was a face he'd thrown at Stella, appearing more pure than he actually was. He had crafted that face well, but it wasn't real. He hadn't even tried to give Zoe a window into that world, but when that door opened, trying to bury those bad memories, his Sin chose differently. It was similar to a person who held multiple personalities that helped them through various events. Greed's faces were very similar. ____________ She paused, stiffening a little. She slowly pulled back and looked at him, searching his face with her eyes, something not quite right. He wasn’t there. The look on her face was like she found herself on some stranger’s lap, not her boyfriend’s. He hadn’t pulled a face with her in awhile, she wasn’t even sure what this was it’d been so long. It made her highly uncomfortable and she moved to get off his lap as if it was improper, “I can make some more tea.” she said it just to have something to say and to mask the fact she was trying to get away from him. ______________ He spun his finger around in his cup, swallowing down what was left inside of his tea. His eyes were drawn to the pattern on the side of the cup, a floral with gold leaf imprinted on the design. He stayed entranced with that while she made tea, settling inside that face he didn't even realize he was throwing out.
When he finally snapped back, hearing the whistle of the kettle he looked towards Zoe who wasn't in his lap like she had been seconds ago. "Why are you over there?" He whined. _______________ She threw a few furtive glances at him while he became hypnotized by the cup and was a little worried but he hadn’t ever acted like this before so maybe she was imagining it.
She eyed him warily from her place at the stove, “Because I’m making more tea...” and because he was weirding her out. _______________ He was still fingering the side of his cup, throwing his body back in the chair as if he were terribly impatient for her to return. "Are you coming back or you just going to stand there?" _______________ She gave him a look and then returned her focus on the kettle, “I don’t know, you seemed to be in your own head there for a bit.” she made no move to return to him though. ____________ "Well don't just stand there like a scaredy cat," he threw out sarcastically, getting up to bombard her space. He didn't like her putting so much distance between them. He threw his arms around her, shoving her back against him. "I'm lonely," he pouted on her shoulder. ____________ She tensed for a moment when he grabbed her and then relaxed a little with a sigh, turning her head to look at him with concern but a fond smile, “I was just a few feet away you loon.” he seemed almost normal but she still had no idea what had happened a moment ago. She still looked at him with questioning eyes. ______________ His grip tightened around her, an octopus with his tentacles. "Why do you keep looking at me like that?" He snuggled into her as if she were a warm blanket. _____________ She looked back at the kettle, letting him grab onto her. “You weren’t here a minute ago.” she said quietly, “It was like being with someone else, it was... unnerving.”
She touched his arm that was sneaking close to a death grip on her and added, “But I’m not going anywhere.” she knew he panicked when she threw up a wall or sounded like she might leave. She didn’t want him to crush her spine out of fear or freak out. _____________ "I didn't realize," he nuzzled her neck, nesting against her hair. He didn't have any idea sometimes when he slipped into another face. It was a coping mechanism sometimes. It helped through the painful, unsexy bits. ______________ She turned her head to the side when he nuzzled her, still not completely at ease with his touch. “Where did you go...?” she asked softly. He didn’t understand how scary it was for her to be secure with him and all of a sudden be left with a stranger in the room in an intimate position. It took Greed months to break down her walls for him. Those walls stayed in place with others. _______________ "I don't know..." He sniffed in that scent in her hair. It smelled of coconuts. Made him think of the Caribbean. Now he was acting innocent of his own control. "I was just making new memories." _______________ She frowned a little, still not looking at him, “Why were you making them with not you..?” she wasn’t stupid, he’d pulled a face with her, she just didn’t know why. _______________ "Because the last time I had tea laid out like this I was married." It wasn't joyful. It wasn't happy. Not what people generally thought if when they said their vows. _______________ She made a face because that really is the last thing you wanted to hear from your boyfriend’s mouth. She wriggled in his arms without meaning to but this was an icky feeling, “So you were trying to relive the memory?” she was a little put out at the thought she was a stand in for Stella. For so long she had to fight to not be a stand in for Josie, she just wanted to be Zoe. _______________ "No, I was trying to cover it up with something new!" He countered a little irked that she was putting up an icy block. He got defensive. It was a Sins natural trait to get offended. _____________ She frowned, “Chance.. you can’t..” she paused, trying to figure out how to word it. “Your memories can’t be deleted and replaced. You can’t just... get a do over. You can’t be the husband you were back then and create a new memory to cover up the old one. That’s not how it works.” ___________ "I don't want to keep them." Certain things were triggers, a lot like they were for veterans. "I hate what happened, but there wasn't any other way." It was completely rational in his head. ______________ She wouldn’t baby him with it, “There were other ways. But you did what you did and there’s no way to undo it. I know you don’t want to keep those memories. But that’s the deal. We don’t get to keep the good unless we keep the bad too. Do you remember the first time we kissed? That was a good memory, yeah?” she smiled at him softly, “I wouldn’t trade it for anything. But if I want to keep it, I have to remember the bad too. Like the first time we broke up.” she was trying to show him how this worked, trying to use herself as an example because sometimes it was easier to see someone else than yourself. ________________ She put things into perspective so simply that a child could have understood. It was a way to get through to Greed without slapping him in the face or lording over him. He didn't like that.
Even if Lust tried to erase things that he had here with Zoe, they weren't time lords, they didn't have any special gifts for taking memories away. They had them the same as any human because they were birthed from such innocence that had been tainted. They could conceive ways to twist the truth and twist how those memories worked, but they couldn't forget.
He stared a hole into her face now that she was looking at him. "But you'd erase the bad memories of yours if you could?" He was asking with curiosity, because if she said yes she would one day want to erase him. ________________ She looked in his eyes and answered honestly shaking her head, “No. Because even the bad memories are part of life. We learn from them. Bad memories teach us of what we don’t want to do again. Because when we remember the pain of something we did that we didn’t like or want to do, it keeps us from repeating it. But if we don’t remember, we’ll just do it again and again.” she was phrasing it in a way that could correspond to him killing Stella and Devlin, to how when he hurt Zoe even, all the things that he didn’t like, but that he learned from. ______________ "Can I learn from anything?" He whispered in response. Her explanation made perfect sense, but did the same apply to a Sin? Could a Sin really learn or was he programed to fail? _____________ She smiled a little and softly said, “Of course..” she touched his cheek, “You’ve already learned so much.. haven’t you?” if he thought about it, from where he was seven months ago to now, a lot had changed. Good and bad constructed this moment between them now, brought them to it. _____________ He leaned in brushing her soft lips with his, a little kiss. Just enough to wet the lips. She had patience, something very few (even his family) had with him. Greed was a lot of work. ____________ She smiled at the kiss and whispered, “I’ll take that as a yes..” before she snuggled closer into his arms and this time she kissed him. He was a lot of work, but so worth it. _____________ His hands slid down out of their grip, taking hold of her hips and the curves that followed them. The problem with kissing Zoe was he wanted more than his body would allow. Lithuania had given it to them, it was unfair that it was one souvenir he couldn't being back with him. ______________ While his hands went down, hers went up, going around his neck so she could be even closer and kiss him a bit more. She liked it when their bodies were pressed close and kissing him was a favorite activity. If this was Lithuania, things would end so differently. She wanted him, badly, but alas it was not meant to be. She spoke against his mouth, words spilling out between kisses, “Chance.. it’s late. I should be getting home..” she’d never spent the night at his place and she got it, it was his space. ___________ "Mmmm no, you don't get to leave," he walked her backwards towards the bedroom and out of the living room. He was never hu to not push for more. He was like a horny teenager. This was also his subtle (or not so subtle) invitation for her to stay. _______________ She chuckled against his mouth as he maneuvered her, unable to stop kissing him in small bites, it was taking what they could get, “You can’t kidnap me while I’m kidnapped.” ____________ "Of course I can." He pushed them towards the bed greedily accepting her bites. ____________ “That’s cheating.” she grinned and still kissed him but looked at the bed from the corner of her eye. Her arms around his neck tightened a bit but she still kept kissing him, “Is this your way of asking me to a sleepover..” ____________ "You just answered your own question." He grabbed onto her tush, the back of her knees hitting the edge of the bed. He tugged her bottom lip between his teeth with a playful growl. ____________ She gasped against his mouth when he grabbed her behind but she was too aware of how they were at the edge of the bed. She felt a thrill at his nip but her arms again tightened so she couldn’t get pushed on the bed. Her mind only half on the kiss as her eyes veered to the side towards the bed again. ______________ He was aware she was stalling. He even felt her lock her knees as he tried to plop her onto the bed. Was she fighting him? He tugged on her lip a little harder with his teeth, gunning for a more developed kiss than these little nips. _____________ She let out a small sound when he went a more intense kiss, lost in the moment for about a second until he tried to get her on the bed again. With the way she was plastered against him, even if he bent her over the bed, she’d be sticking to his chest. She did not want to go on the bed even though it was where they’d spent a bulk of their time in Lithuania. ______________ She wouldn't bend. It was starting to get on his nerves. He broke from her lips, trying to pry her off and onto the bed. He was fighting her sticky fingers which were keeping themselves glued to him. "What're you doing?" _______________ She let go of him when he seemed agitated and questioned her. Her gaze fell to the side and her hands twisted together, “Nothing... what?” trying to feign innocence. _____________ "Is something wrong with the bed?" She wasn't going to pull innocence as easily as him. He wasn't buying it. ____________ She looked at the bed when he mentioned it and set her jaw, clearly something was wrong but she didn’t say anything at first. After a few moment of silence, she pointed at it and made a zig zag motion with her finger as she asked slowly, “How many girls have you had in it....?” _____________ He stopped to think, counting in his head. "Does the Christmas present count?" Otherwise it had been at least, "Four, I think. Maybe five..." He squinted still calculating. ______________ The look on her face was indescribable, her mouth dropping open a little, “Yes. She counts.” when he finished his tally and still was unsure, and knowing Greed he might have ‘forgotten’ a girl here and there, Zoe pointed at the door to his room, “I’m going to sleep on the couch.” there was no way she was setting a toe in his bed. _____________ "Seriously?" He squeaked running after her. "The sheets are clean!" But she was headed back out to the living room. He put his hands on her shoulders, guiding her towards the theater room where there was a bigger couch. Like he was going to stay in a separate room. They needed room. "Am I gonna have to buy a new bed?" ____________ She rolled her shoulders to get his hands off, she felt icky. She went into the theatre room as he’d steered though. “I know I know, just.. I feel like it’s probably sunk in.. all their..” she made crunchy motions with her hands as if the stains had set deep and the bed would be never clean.
“When I see it, I think of Mary and you in it and...” she let out a frustrated noise as she put the palms of her hands to her eyes as if to block out the image. He shouldn’t have to get a new bed but she just felt gross about being in the same bed that Mary was warming not too long ago.. among other girls. He’d only gotten the thing a few months ago! _______________ He dragged her arms away, waving them with his own as his hands clasped hers. "But I like my leather sheets," he whimpered.
The theater room was just as big as his bedroom, probably a few more square feet. There was already a new pile of comics lining up against the wall. He needed a bookshelf for them to display them with his mound of action figures.
The couch was plush, yellow, more of a bed than a couch anyway. He guided her towards it where he sprawled out on it. ____________ She looked at him with big sad brown puppy dog eyes, “I know...” she wouldn’t ask him to give up his sheets or his bed. It wouldn’t be fair. No matter how much she hated it.
She looked at him on the sofa and sighed, “It’s fine, it’s just one night. I’m gonna go change..” she really didn’t expect this to become a regular thing with him. ______________ Greed rolled around on his couch, looking up at the ceiling while she changed. He made no effort to get up, just taking in the fact that he needed to go bed shopping. It was alright, he wanted a bigger one anyway.
All his middle of the night running around was catching up. Zoe had knocked him out earlier, he was feeling sleepy. A shame, they had tons of cake and tea to finish.
His foot hung off the side of the couch, bobbing up and down into a slow bop as his eyes drifted close. He wasn't asleep yet, just waiting impatiently for Zoe's return. ______________ When she re-emerged, she had a blanket wrapped around her shoulders and walked over to him, climbing onto the sofa and him and bringing the blanket with her, “I’m sorry..” she whispered and gave him a soft but delicious kiss. She was sorry for a lot of things, the bed, being jealous, the fact if she was any other girl they would be ending their night very differently. He was still dressed with shoes but he might notice even in his sleepy state that all she was wearing under that blanket was her cami and undies. The PJ bottoms he took offense too were left in the living room. _____________ Greed mumbled a groan as she climbed on him, opening up one eye to take a look. He saw fleshy skin under that blanket and he grinned.
"Lost your pants?" He said sleepily, fighting to throw a shoe off his foot but he'd tied the laces too tight. He grumbled stealing another kiss from those soft and pouty lips of hers. _____________ “They decided to take a vacation in the living room..” she said it against his lips so the kiss would get broken up enough to last longer. She put a hand on his leg to still him and scooted to the end where she untied his shoelaces and took off his shoes and then his socks so his feet were free.
She moved back up and leaned down to rub her nose against his lightly, “Do your pants want to join them?” _______________ "Mmmmhmmm," he hummed against her mouth. "They do, they do." He would have sounded more excited but she was actually undressing him, giving him kisses and he was nearly wiped out. He really was a king. ____________ Her hands were gently as they undid his belt and his fly and then off went his pants. She also started to unbutton his shirt and loosen his bowtie, she didn’t want to sleep in his bed, least she could do is make him comfortable.
So more than his pants were going to take a vacation, when he was left in his boxers, she snuggled into him. Her long naked legs rubbed up against him and it was late so even she was sleepy but she still snuck in a few lazy kisses, unable to resist the temptation. ______________ He grunted here and there as she fussed with his clothing, finally relieving him of all the formal attire. Being practically naked was always his dress of choice. He mumbled a few incoherent words, still fighting sleep. She was tangled with him, but he tugged at her cami so that she would shift to lay on top of him. He liked being suffocated with her. ____________ She grinned a little as he tugged for her to get on him and she never minded using him as a pillow so obliged. She kissed him one more time, whispering, “Dork.” lovingly against his lips before she settled against him to sleep.
