Thomas immediately looked ashamed, which didn't help the pain in his face. "It's...a long story. I'm sorry I didn't call back, I-" How was he supposed to explain he hadn't had possession of his phone since his personal property had been confiscated upon his arrest.

Instead of actually saying anything, because it all seemed a bit too hard, he held up his hand which now had five dark marks on it from where he had been fingerprinted.

Lena just glanced at them and then she hobbled tot he kitchen and put the bag of food down on the counter. "What he's not explaining very well, is that he punched someone and got arrested."

Thomas just sighed.
