Minos was aware that most of the Greeks he admitted his name to would know of his wife as well. Since becoming a judge in the Underworld, he wasn't exactly below the radar like some of them were. He also worried little about people knowing who he was. He doubted anyone would tell Pasiphae anything. The Greek pantheon was not known for it's fidelity.
