Hathor was already opening up the paperwork, spreading out photos and blueprints across the bed behind them. "It's in Brooklyn," Hathor went on, "and it's quite popular with the youth, it seems. There's a coffee shop and restaurant on the bottom floor, as well as apartments for rent at the top." She beamed at an unconvinced Sekhmet and took her hand. "I'm going to make it the most welcoming place in the whole city, a constant stream of happy human beings."
Shesmu had come over to peer at the things on the bed, Anouke pulling on his dreadlocks as she liked to do. Sometimes, Shesmu thought, Hathor was a little bit crazy.
"The party planning business has been all well and good, but it's time for something new, for this!" She gestured dramatically towards all the paperwork.
